Franklin’s Spring Creek Ford in Colquitt recently contacted Precision Audio about installing some F-350 accessories for one of their clients. The client would be using the truck on their farm, so the products would need to be strong and durable. We discussed the options the client wanted and proposed several solutions to enhance the safety, functionality and durability of this 2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty.
Ranch Hand Front and Rear Bumper
The client chose a Ranch Hand GGF171BL1 Grille Guard to protect the front of the truck. The grille guard is welded together from 5/16-inch CNC-cut steel vertical plates and CNC-bent 12-gauge steel tubing to protect the grille from damage from trees and rocks. The guard bolts directly to the frame of the truck to keep it rigid. A matching BBF171BLSS Legend Series rear bumper replaced the stock unit and features 4-inch schedule 40 pipe and diamond-plate steel construction.
Truck Bed Tool Box
The client wanted a safe location to store tools and supplies. We suggested a CamLocker Low Pro toolbox in a black diamond-plate finish to match the new rear bumper. The toolbox has an integrated rail system on top, providing additional storage and cargo options.
Suspension and Rolling Stock Upgrades
We installed a set of Toyo Open Country A/T 35×12.50R20 tires on the factory Ford wheels to give the client additional traction on muddy and soft surfaces. The factory TPMS sensors work nicely with the new tires so the client can monitor tire pressures remotely. We used our Hunter Road Force balancer to ensure that the new tires would provide a smooth and safe ride. Next, we installed a TrailFX leveling kit to bring the front of the truck even with the back and provide additional clearance for the new tires.
WeatherTech Interior Protection Products
WeatherTech DigitalFit FloorLiners are custom-tailored floor mats that extend up the sides, front and back of each footwell to keep sand, dirt, water and debris away from the carpet. We installed a set of black 4410121 front mats and 4410122 rear mats to keep the interior clean and looking like new.
High-Performance Window Tint
The last piece of the project was to tint the windows with Llumar ATR window film, which blocks 99 percent of UV rays to help prevent skin damage and keep the vehicle’s materials and upholstery from fading. The film also blocks about 40 percent of the UV heat energy from the sun, easing the load on the air conditioning system.
