A client from nearby Colquitt recently visited Precision Audio in search of some 2018 Ford Expedition truck accessories. The client was interested in upgrading the wheels and tires on the SUV and wanted to add a lift kit to ensure the new rolling package had proper clearance. While at the store, he asked about window tinting to help keep the interior of the truck cool. We inspected the vehicle to ensure we had the perfect fitment for the wheels and suspension kit before providing the client with a quote for the work. He agreed to the plan so we scheduled and appointment.
20-inch Wheel and Upgrade Package
The client chose the Fuel wheels Diesel in a 20-inch diameter. The wheels have a gloss black finish with machine accents around each spoke. We ordered the wheels with a 6-bolt pattern that matches the heavy-duty Ford application.
For tires, the client chose BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires in an LT275/60-20 size. These tires have a 33-inch diameter and are 11 inches wide to give the truck a solid and stable footprint. We mounted the tires on the Fuel wheels and installed TPMS sensors to ensure the driver can monitor tire pressures from within the vehicle. Finally, we added new chrome wheel locks to keep the new wheel and tire package safe.
While we had the wheels off the truck, we installed a ReadyLift 692830 lift kit. The kit allows the 33-inch wheels to fit by lifting the front of the truck three inches and the rear by two inches using spacers.
Llumar Window Film Keeps Your Vehicle Cool
The client wanted a window tint that would help keep the interior of his truck cool. We installed Llumar ATR film on the vehicle. We use a computerized plotter to cut all of our films instead of a trimming bulk pieces on the vehicle with a knife. The tint is installed in our dust-free tint bay to ensure that no debris can be trapped under the film and cause bubbles.
LLumar ATR film blocks almost 50 percent of the IR energy from the sun to ease the load on your vehicle’s air conditioning system. The film also blocks more than 99 percent of UV energy. UV rays are responsible for damage to your skin and cause the fabrics and carpets in your vehicle to fade prematurely.
