A client from Bainbridge, Georgia, brought his 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel truck to Precision Audio for some accessories. He wanted to make the truck more functional and more comfortable, and to give it some personalized style. We discussed how he used the truck and what he felt it needed to make it perfect. We settled on a series of upgrades, ordered the components and booked an installation.
Window Treatment
One of our specialties is window tinting. We tinted the front driver and passenger windows with Llumar ATR 15% tint so they matched the rear windows, and added a sun strip across the top of the windshield.
We installed a set of AutoVentShade In-Channel Ventvisor rain guards on the front and rear windows. The Ventvisors will allow the client to keep his windows rolled down about an inch in any weather condition without water getting into the truck.
Bumper Upgrades
We replaced the front bumper with an upgraded Summit Series unit from Ranch Hand. Constructed in the USA from 12 gauge diamond plate and finished with a tough black-powder coat, this bumper is sturdy but doesn’t add a lot of weight. Ranch Hand designed the bumper to work with the factory foglights and tow hook.
We installed a Ranch Hand Sport Series rear bumper at the same time. The rear bumper includes integrated LED work/backup lamps and has provisions for the rear parking sensors. The rear bumper is fabricated from a formed channel and the same tough 12 gauge diamond plate as the front bumper.
Storage
The client wanted a way to secure items in the bed of his truck. We proposed a Cam Locker toolbox with an integrated rail top for extra storage. The Cam Locker toolbox features full-length stainless steel hinges, a weather-tight seal and a carpeted interior. The toolbox can be opened from either side of the truck, thanks to the unique dual-handle cam-locking design. A convenient sliding storage tray provides a location to store smaller items.
The client chose a matte-black finish to complement the truck and new bumpers. Cam Locker toolboxes are manufactured by American Aluminum Accessories in Florida. They use 063 gauge diamond plate for amazing strength without adding a lot of weight.
Ram Truck Accessories are a Hit!
When the client returned to Precision Audio to pick up his truck, he was thrilled with the way it looked. The accessories complement the tough look of the truck and give it a “blacked out” theme. The upgrades we performed on this truck are common for our clients, but we can do much more – bed covers, hitches, leveling and lift kits, or spray-in bed liners.
