The local Ford dealer in Colquitt, Georgia, contacted us here at Precision Audio about doing a 2015 Ford F150 upgrade package. After spending some time with them on discussing their goals for the project, it became apparent that they wanted the F150 to stand out from the crowd. We worked up the package that we felt would be extremely popular for them, and they liked our idea, so we made an appointment date.
Front End Lift Levels Truck For A Great Stance
If you own a new truck and want it to stand out, the easiest way is with a suspension lift. In this vehicle, we installed a Fabtech 6-inch kit that leveled out the truck. What that means is the front end gets lifted slightly more than the rear to eliminate that factory-raked look. Now this F150 sits perfectly level, the way Ford should have done it in the first place.
Wheel And Tire Upgrade For Better Traction And Looks
Now that the truck was lifted, it needed a beautiful set of wheels and tires to fill out that increased space in the fender wells. We chose 20” Fuel Lethal wheels in a black finish with machined accents and wrapped them in Nitto 35×12.50r20 Trail Grappler MT tires, giving the truck a mean, aggressive look. One look at this truck and you know it means business.
Bushwacker Color-Matched Flares Highlight this F150 Upgrade Package
Once the lift and wheel/tire package was installed, the truck needed a set of fender flares to finish off the look. We installed the Bushwacker Pocket Flares, color-matched to the vehicle. They accomplish a few different things. First, they continue the theme of mean and aggressive. Second, having them color-matched to the vehicle makes them look like factory equipment. Third, they protect the sides of the vehicle from dirt and road debris that will get kicked up by the larger tires.
Westin Grille Guard For A Rugged Front Look
In the front of the vehicle, we installed a Westin HDX full-grille guard in a black finish. It mated perfectly to the cosmetics of the wheels and kept our theme intact.
Additional Benefits From Window Tint
We finished out the transformation by tinting the windows in Llumar ATR window tint. The truck will now be much cooler inside in the summertime, and the occupants get the benefit of protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
