With the purchase of a new 2018 Ford F-150 from Franklin Spring Creek Ford, one of our local customers came to us with a particular request for his custom-built F-150 Dog Box. Since the box is primarily going to be in the bed of the truck and out in the weather, the customer was looking to improve the durability and appearance of his Dog Box with Line-X.
Soon after discussing with the client what he had in mind, we began prepping the box. We start by chemically wiping down the aluminum to ensure that no oil or dirt was on the surface before applying our primer. After applying the primer, we let it cure for two hours, making sure it was dry before applying the Line-X. We put down this primer to ensure the bond between the Line-X and aluminum surface is strong.
After spraying the box and giving it time to dry, we called the customer to come take a look at his upgraded Dog Box. Caught by surprise at the job we had done, he could not have been more happy with the result!
