A client from Bainbridge, GA, recently visited Precision to inquire about window tint and a tonneau cover for his new 2021 Ram 1500. After stepping outside to see the truck, we took the customer back into the shop to show him the options on our Llumar tint display. This display allows us to explain the IR- and UV-blocking benefits of each solution. We discussed how he intended to use the bed of his truck; this allowed us to choose a tonneau cover that would be more fitting for his everyday use. With a plan in place, we scheduled an appointment for the installation.
Our customer chose Llumar IRX window tint, which blocks up to 99% of UV rays. This tint is perfect for protecting our customer, as well as any passengers and the interior of the vehicle. Our technicians followed our usual process of starting by pulling the vehicle into our dust-free tint bay to perform the installation. We cut all our tint precisely to the exact fit of the vehicle’s windows using a computer-controlled plotter. That ensures that the windows will not be scratched from using a knife, which tends to happen with hand-cutting tint directly on the windows.
The customer chose one of our Truck Gear retractable tonneau covers. This tonneau cover is constructed from a one-piece sheet of polycarbonate and has a sealed ball-bearing roller system that glides effortlessly along the rail, with a convenient handle that eliminates the need for pull straps, Velcro, snaps or springs. The Truck Gear offers a low-profile design that incorporates a front cover that sits flush with the truck bed cover. This setup provides a firm, dependable seal to help keep the truck bed dry.
With the tint installed and bed cover in place, we called the client to return to Precision and check out his upgrades. He loved how the tint kept the interior cooler and how easy the new tonneau cover was to use.
