One of our long-time customers recently brought in his 2016 Can-Am Commander, looking to get a radio and speakers installed. After checking out some of the Marine radios and speakers we offer, the customer chose a Kenwood KMR-M315BT Bluetooth receiver, along with a Kenwood compact four-channel amplifier and some Rockford Fosgate 6.5″ tower speakers.
The installation presented a few challenges in trying to find the perfect location to mount the Kenwood receiver. Our technician had to construct a custom plate to mount the receiver in the dash. We installed the small, compact amplifier under the seat in a sealed compartment to prevent damage from rain and moisture. We then mounted the speakers to the roll cage above the driver’s and passenger’s head.
As you can see in the finished pictures, the installation made use of the available space without changing the look of the Can-Am Commander.
With the customer satisfied, we then helped him load up his Commander so he could go hit the trails.
