A client from Donalsonville recently dropped by Precision Audio to inquire about upgrading the stereo system in his 2015 Ford F-150. After giving the vehicle a good look, we talked with the client about what he liked about the way the factory system worked and what he wanted to improve. With the information he provided, we took him inside to demonstrate some of our head units and subwoofers that we thought would be a good upgrade. Happy with our proposal, the client scheduled a date for our technicians to perform the installation.
The Kenwood DDX8905S has a nice 7″ touchscreen with a built-in CD/DVD receiver, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Our client loved the fact this radio has CarPlay and Android Auto, which allows the customer to be completely hands-free when driving. With the power of Siri or Google, he will be able to make calls, send texts and even operate Google Maps without taking his hands off the steering wheel. These features are what made the pick so easy for him.
To finish up his new setup, we decided to install a new CS112TG-TW3 JL Audio pre-loaded box, which we specifically tuned so it sounded amazing in this truck. We then installed his new P300X1 Rockford Fosgate Amp using an 8 gauge amp kit, which we fused at the battery to protect the equipment from any shortages.
To complete the installation, we tuned the amplifier to prevent any clipping or distortion, resulting in a clean sound that an audiophile would love.
Once it all was done, we called the customer to say we had finished the install and he was ready to go.
