A repeat client from Bainbridge, Georgia, came to Precision Audio looking to get some 2014 Ram accessories and upgrades. We have enjoyed doing business with this client since 2001, so we had a pretty good idea of his expectations for this build. Once our team looked over the truck with the client, we went inside and explored several product options together. We asked him several questions so we could get a good grip on his goals. At that point, we offered solutions to him that we felt best suited his needs, and he liked our proposal, so we scheduled an installation appointment.
Performance Accessories Leveling Kit Improves Stance
Right out of the gate, we knew that the client did not like the raked look of a stock pickup truck. You see, when a truck leaves the factory, the back end typically sits anywhere from 2 to 3” higher than the front and, when you see the vehicle from the side, it looks goofy. The solution for that is called a leveling kit. In this Ram, we installed a Performance Accessories 2.5” leveling kit that brought the front end up to the same height as the back. As you can see in the pictures, this dramatically improves the look of the vehicle without sacrificing the ride quality.
Trail FX Nerf Bars Enhance Safety And Looks
On the side of the vehicle, we installed Trail FX 4” black nerf bars, which added a classy but functional look. Now, everyone has a safe and secure place to put their foot when entering and exiting the vehicle.
Bed Cover From Undercover Protects Bed Contents
In the rear of the vehicle, we installed an Undercover Flex hard bed cover. We really like this product because it gives the client a sleek, low-profile bed cover that does a great job of protecting and securing his cargo. The flex is made of three panels that hinge up one at a time, allowing very easy bed access. In the event our client needs to access all of the bed, the cover folds up like an accordion against the rear window and is held in place by two prop rods. Now the client has full bed access without having to remove the bed cover.
Llumar Tint Adds Security And Heat Rejection
We tinted the whole truck in Llumar ATR tint at a 5% darkness level, giving it incredible privacy and helping protect any valuables inside the truck. This also gives 99% UV protection from the sun’s damaging effects and dramatically lower interior temperatures in hot weather.
Kenwood Screen And Backup Camera For The Best Technology And Safety
The client also tows frequently with the truck, so we upgraded his in-dash stereo system to a Kenwood DDX392 LCD touch-screen unit. He now has full control over his digital music library, Bluetooth for both music streaming and hands-free calling, and a beautiful display for the Kenwood backup camera. Now he can safely back up his truck and hook up to his trailer much faster. We also integrated his factory-equipped steering wheel audio controls with his new Kenwood stereo, so he kept all of his factory functionality.
