A repeat client from here in Bainbridge recently dropped by Precision Audio to inquire about some 2017 Ford F-250 truck accessories. He was interested in improving the functionality of the truck with a set of side steps and a toolbox, making it more comfortable with window tinting and giving it an aggressive look with a heavy-duty grille guard. After having a look at the truck, we helped the customer sort through the options available to upgrade his vehicle.
Tool Storage Locker
The client chose a Cam Locker aluminum toolbox for the truck. Specifically, he picked a King Size unit that is 19 inches deep. This locker has a gloss black finish and includes rails on the top for additional storage. The client was impressed with the build quality of the locker and liked its felt lining. Most of all, the carbon steel cam-style locking mechanism would ensure that any valuables stored inside would be safe.
Westin Steps
This F-250 features the massive 6.7 PowerStroke engine and the 4×4 XLT Package. As such, it sits fairly high on its BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The client chose a set of Westin Pro Traxx 5-inch tubular side steps to make getting in and out of the truck easier. Our team installed the steps using the provided hardware and brackets. The brackets mount directly to the truck body using factory-installed studs.
Ranch Hand Front Grille
The next upgrade was a Ranch Hand Legend series front grille. Ranch Hand grille guards are built from amazingly strong 5/16-inch uprights and 12-gauge steel tubing. The entire assembly is welded together in Texas to ensure durability and strength. It took two members of our team to install the 125-pound guard on the front of the client’s F-250 Super Duty.
LLumar Window Tint
The last of the Ford F-250 truck accessories for this project was Llumar ATR window tint for the driver and passenger windows. The rear and back windows come tinted from the factory, so the client wanted a tint that would match their look and help keep the interior of the truck cool on hot days. Llumar ATR film blocks about 40 percent of the heating energy from the sun and 99 percent of UV rays to protect the driver and his passengers.
