Tallahassee Client Gets Jeep Wrangler Line-X Protection

By Staff 2 Comments

Jeep Wrangler Line-XA client from Tallahassee recently contacted Precision Car Audio in Bainbridge to have his 2001 Jeep Wrangler Line-X coated. The client loves to take his Jeep off-road and usually leaves the top off while he is wheeling. Over the years, water had started to cause the body to rust. After researching different coatings, he quickly realized that Line-X was the benchmark for vehicle protection. Line-X Platinum is 300% stronger than most competing surface treatments. After meeting with the client and assessing the condition of the Jeep, we suggested our Line-X Platinum treatment.

Premium Metal Protection

Preparation prior to spraying is crucial to prevent over-spray on unwanted areas.

To save some time, the owner removed the passenger and rear seats, as well as the center console, before dropping off the vehicle. We removed the driver’s seat, seatbelts and roll cage, and moved the wiring harnesses aside before starting the process of preparing the metal for the Line-X coating.

Proper surface preparation is the most important step to ensuring the protective coating will adhere to the metal body of the Jeep. We masked off any areas that we didn’t want covered with Line-X. Next, we protected the pedals, dash and exterior body panels to ensure they would be free of overspray. After a final vacuuming and wipe-down, it was time to spray the floor of the Jeep.

The tailgate also got a liberal coating of Line-X.

Line-X Platinum is a pure poly-urea material that we spray at high temperatures directly onto the metal surface of the Jeep. The material cures quickly without releasing harmful VOCs. The coating can withstand prolonged UV exposure without fading, chalking or cracking. The Line-X coating will prevent against scuffs, scratches and even impacts that would typically cause small dents. It also completely protects the interior of the Jeep against water damage.

The coating also reduces noise and heat transfer into the interior of the Jeep, making it much more comfortable when you’re using it to crawl through the woods or run down a trail.

Jeep Interior Restoration

The interior was now protected and ready for the client to re-assemble.

The client returned to see how his Jeep Wrangler Line-X project turned out and was thrilled with the way it looked. The interior has a like-new luster that will last for decades. Line-X backs the coating with a lifetime warranty against cracking, bubbling or peeling, so the owner can be confident this Jeep will be protected for life.

If you are interested our Line-X products, drop by Precision Car Audio and speak with a member of our team. We can coat your truck bed, the hull of your boat or any other surface you can imagine. You can reach us by E-MAIL by using our contact form if you have any questions.
