This 2022 GMC Sierra HD Denali owner visited Precision Audio to inquire about personalizing and upgrading the vehicle with new tires, a suspension leveling kit, grille guard, bed cover and window tint. After looking at several options for the bumper, cover and tires and explaining the performance differences between the tint films we offer, the client chose a combination of solutions that fit his needs.
GMC Sierra HD Tire and Suspension Upgrade
We started the project by removing the stock wheels and tires so we could install a 2-inch ReadyLift leveling kit. As with any work we do, our team made sure to tighten all the fasteners on the suspension back to factory specifications with a Snap-On torque wrench. We replaced the stock tires with a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXF tires sized at 295/65-20. The leveling kit allows the front fenders to clear these almost 34-inch-tall monsters. We used our Hunter tire machine and Road Force balancer to assemble the wheels and finished with an alignment using our Hunter alignment rack to ensure a safe and smooth ride.
Premium Truck Accessories Add Protection
To add protection to the front of the vehicle, we installed a Ranch Hand Legend Series grille guard. The Ranch Hand unit is a one-piece assembly, so there’s no chance of any parts rattling loose while driving. We added their parking sensor relocation bracket to ensure that the ultrasonic object detection system would continue to work correctly.
Once the upgrades to the front were complete, we lowered the truck back onto the ground and installed a RetraxPRO MX aluminum-slat bed cover. This tonneau cover will keep the bed’s contents clean and dry and help prevent theft.
Premium Window Tint Offers Impressive Protection
The last step was to bring the truck to our dedicated, dust-free window tint bay so we could install Llumar’s premium IRX window film. This ceramic film blocks two-thirds of the infrared heat energy from the sun to help keep the vehicle’s interior cool. We use our computer-controlled plotter to cut the film rolls, so we never have to use a razor knife on the vehicle.
