In the early 1970s, car dealers started telling customers that they would lose their new car warranties unless all parts and service work was done by the dealer. Simply Installing Aftermarket Electronics Will Not Void Your New Vehicle Warranty

In a nutshell, this law states that, for a vehicle manufacturer to void your warranty, the manufacturer has to prove that the aftermarket part or the labor performed caused the issue. The sad reality is that car dealers have short memory spans and are using this tactic with consumers again today. They are trying to limit your ability to install high-quality products on your vehicle – that’s right, your vehicle, that you paid good money for.
