The local Ford dealership in Colquitt, Georgia, approached Precision Audio recently for a F150 Fx4 restyling package. We showed them some of the newest options and developed an upgrade package that would give the truck a decidedly different look along with dramatically improved functionality.
Up And Over
We started the project with the installation of a Fabtech Motorsports 6” lift kit. The kit includes new spindles and ¼” steel lower control arm relocation brackets to ensure that the suspension geometry remains accurate for a smooth ride. The new brackets feature an integrated skid plate for extra protection and mounting point rigidity. The rear suspension is raised with lift blocks, and upgraded U-bolts and new shock absorbers that are designed to work with the 6” lift.
Rolling With Fuel Wheels And Toyo Tires
We upgraded the rolling hardware with one-piece Assault wheels from Fuel. They have a diameter of 20 inches and a black finish with machined accents on the edges of the spokes. The wheels are wrapped in Toyo Open Country M/T tires at 35×12.50R20 on both the front and the rear of the vehicle.
Aggressive Styling
A set of Bushwacker Pocket Style Fender Flares on OEM-matching Oxford White now surrounds the wheel openings for added body protection. We installed a Lund bull bar on the front of the truck that features massive 3.5” tubing and an integrated 20” LED floodlight for maximum visibility when off-road.
Safe Storage In The Bed
We installed a low-profile Cam Locker toolbox in the bed of the truck. The Cam Locker design uses a nearly impenetrable carbon steel, cam-style locking system to ensure that the contents of the box stay secure. The tool box features tie-down rails, a felt-lined interior and a black diamond plate aluminum finish that beautifully accents the two-tone color scheme of the truck.
Clean And Comfortable Tint Completes The F150 Fx4 Restyling Package
To keep the interior clean, no matter how dirty the driver wants to get, we installed a set of Husky Liner premium floor mats. Finally, we tinted the windows with Llumar ATR Series window film. The ATR film is metallized and offers maximum UV and thermal protection while ensuring long-lasting looks.
The Dealership Loved Our Upgrades!
The Ford dealer wanted a truck that would make them stand out from all the other dealers in the area, and we delivered! This project was one of the first to feature the new Assault model wheels and the new Lund bull bar, which make the truck look cool and unique at the same time. The sales staff loved the changes we made and were looking forward to showing the truck off to their customers.
