Fuel Rims & Nitto Terra Grappler AT’s Bring Out Toyota Tundra’s Wild Side

Project Fresh Start Toyota Tundra:

Our client, a local resident of nearby Donalsonville in Seminole County, came in to see us here at Precision Audio in Bainbridge to help solve an issue for him. His complaint was an ‘Oh, so common,’ one that we hear ALL the time.

Hey, guys… I’ve got this truck had for ‘X # of years,‘ and it’s been a really great truck for me and I don’t want to get rid of it. I’ve taken care of it very well, and I have no issues with my Tundra. It’s in great shape, and I simply can’t justify a newer vehicle right now with such a great truck already. But, ya know… after ‘X‘ years you start getting a bit bored of seeing the same thing and wouldn’t mind a little change. I’d really like to do something to bring out my truck’s exterior and upgrade some of the inside options too. But I don’t want to spend a fortune either, so what are my options?

Who Ya Gonna Call?

Well luckily for our guy here, this is exactly where we excel at, and there are no better professionals and experts locally when it comes to fixing up and customizing vehicles in Southwest Georgia than our team here at Precision Audio.

We Got This…

After going over some of the options for the Tundra’s exterior aesthetic upgrades as well as some interior add-ons and even electronics upgrade options too. And keeping in mind a budget that we outlined beforehand, we worked out a great, personal and customized plan and upgrade path for what all we would do to it right now. And, the next two phases in bringing this sweet (and really nice!) Toyota full-size pickup back into the limelight.

Feelin’ Like Forrest G. With A Sweet Set Of Runnin’ Shoes

For this first upgrade, we decided to go for the obvious exterior upgrade changing out the terrible, OEM factory wheels Toyota curses their vehicles with. To some new, cool looking 20-inch matte black FUEL Cleaver rims wrapped in a fresh set of 275/60/20 Nitto Terra Grappler AT tires. Nitto makes excellent AT & MT tires that look great paired with matte black wheels. It’s our personal favorite, preferred option to match up in a new truck build.

Lay Down Those Fresh Beats, MC!

Now, with the outside taken care of and a solid start made towards a whole new look for this Tundra we decided to do one interior upgrade too. Our client, being a huge music fanatic (aren’t we all?) said to us “It looks great, but I gotta get some better sound in my ride. And, to finally be able to connect this damn $800 tiny computer that happens to make calls once in awhile. And that Verizon apparently thinks Samsung built out of solid gold. Maybe then I’ll get to use at least a small fraction of what all this crazy-complicated thing does. But, mainly all I want is to be able to make my calls hands-free and safer. And also to be able to stream my music wirelessly and get rid of all these cords junkin’ up my truck’s dash. Gonna strangle a small kid or something if they don’t hit the road…”

Gotcha brother, no prob! Again, ya couldn’t have come to a better set of local experts to solve your issue.

  • Most of the time, unless you have a newer, late-model vehicle with a source unit that is too difficult to remove and replace. Or that will cause too much loss of original, factory functionality and features. Then in a vehicle like this one, the go-to starting point is a new head unit for sure.
  • You instantly add options like USB, AUX, Bluetooth connectivity. And in this case, since we went with an in-dash touch screen, also got way easier operation and usability.
  • Plus tons of new audio options and adjustments you didn’t even have before, so we can instantly improve the sound of your current audio system without even changing out anything else yet [granted the speakers aren’t busted of course :-D].
  • We, unfortunately, got too wrapped up talking to our guy to nab pics of the screen installed too. But take our word, it looked pretty dang smooth and slick set up in his dash compared to Toyota’s ultra plain and boring, 1980’s-looking factory radio.

Auto-Customizing Gurus?  😎

Our new buddy here also informed us after the install was complete that he was beyond pleased with the balance we struck on his needs and wants, and plans of what to work towards with us next. We were able to achieve exactly what he was looking for. Not spending too much money at once while giving just enough new appeal to his Toyota, that in his words, looked like an entirely new vehicle.

Just Makin’ The World A Cooler Place, One Upgrade At A Time!

We couldn’t ask for a better compliment and praise towards our sales team and install techs. This kind of response is precisely what we strive to achieve and hear every single day from each and every one of our customers. Gives us a reason to get up in the morning with our fresh cup of joe and be there to help make your customizing dreams for your own vehicle become a reality.
