A client from Thomasville brought his Deep Blue Pearl 2021 Nissan Titan to Precision Audio for a suspension and tire upgrade. The client wanted taller tires with a much more aggressive tread design. After looking at some options, we settled on a suspension upgrade and 33-inch tires to make this pickup truck look great and give it the ability to handle off-road excursions while remaining safe on city streets.
Nissan Titan Suspension Upgrade
The client wanted the truck to look tough and mean. So we proposed one of our popular Rough Country 3-inch lift kits for his Titan. The kit includes new tubular upper control arms, strut spacers and sway bar end-links for the front suspension. For the rear suspension, there’s a pair of lift blocks and new long U-bolts. In no time, we had the truck in the air and had removed the wheels and tires. Our technicians had no trouble installing this well-made kit. It’s worth noting that we always use a torque wrench instead of an impact gun on all the fasteners to ensure that everything is tightened to manufacturer specifications. Though it takes a few more minutes, this process is crucial to the safety and reliability of the vehicle.
Nitto Trail Grappler Tire Upgrade
The client chose a set of Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires in a beefy 33X12.50/20 size. First, we removed the original tires from the wheels and mounted the Nittos using our Hunter tire changing machine. Next, each wheel and tire was balanced using our Hunter Road Force balancer. This machine applies hundreds of pounds to the side of the tire to ensure that the bead is seated perfectly, then measures both run-out and balance so everything will run smoothly and safely.

With the wheels back on the truck, we adjusted the suspension alignment using our Hunter alignment machine. This final step is crucial to ensuring that the tires last for years and maintain excellent contact on the road for safe handling and braking.
