A client from Thomasville contacted the team at Precision Audio to talk about upgrading his 2022 Ram 3500 with window tint and a few accessories. He wanted a high-quality bumper to protect the front of the vehicle, along with side steps to make it easier to get in and out. He also wanted us to tint the windows to help keep the interior cool on hot days. After working with the client to choose solutions with the features and style he wanted, we ordered the components and booked a date for the installation.
Ram Grille Guard and Side Step Upgrades
The client chose one of the Ranch Hand Legend Series front bumpers with an integrated grille guard for his Ram 3500. The bumper is based on a 3-inch diameter schedule-40 pipe and has laser-cut diamond-plate steel trim around it. The integrated grille guard protects the radiator and lighting from damage. Provisions are included for the forward-facing parking sensors, and a 2-inch receiver is included.
Our technicians removed the stock front bumper and wiring for the sensors, then bolted the new Ranch Hand unit to the front frame and secured everything with the supplied hardware. We always use our Snap-On torque wrench to tighten every fastener to specification to ensure that everything is safe and reliable.
While we had the truck on the hoist, we added a set of N-Fab D2080CC-TX Cab-length Nerf Steps. These tubular steel steps continue the rugged look of the front bumper and make it much easier to climb in and out of this relatively tall vehicle. The steps bolt directly to the body of the Ram, so they are solid and secure.
Window Tint Adds Comfort and Protection
Next, we brought the truck into our dust-free tint bay to install Llumar CTX ceramic tint on the front windows. CTX film not only blocks a significant portion of the infrared heat from the sun, but it blocks almost all of the ultraviolet rays that cause fabrics, cloth and vinyl to fade. We cut all of the film we install on our computer-controlled plotter.
We also installed a set of Ventshade 94109 Rain Guards on the front and back door windows. These tinted deflectors allow the client to roll the windows down about an inch for fresh air without having to worry about water coming in when it’s raining.
